WIDOS LLC
In December 2009, WIDOS Wilhelm Dommer Söhne GmbH established an independent sales and service company in North America to support its existing customers. The new company, WIDOS LLC, covers the USA, Canada and Mexico with additional support in Latin American countries. WIDOS LLC also offers limited rental opportunities to support existing customers. We became a FRANK company in 2024 and have expanded our services with the addition of the WDS and FRANK product ranges.
WIDOS: Global brand since 1946
WIDOS Wilhelm Dommer Söhne GmbH ( WIDOS ) was founded in 1946 by Wilhelm
Dommer near Stuttgart (Germany) and has since established itself as a
global brand name by developing and manufacturing innovative plastic
welding machines for workshops and construction sites. In 2017, WIDOS
and it’s subsidiary, WIDOS LLC, were acquired by an investment group who
later was unsuccessful in operating and expanding the WIDOS brand. By
the end of the first quarter in 2024, WIDOS declared insolvency. WIDOS
LLC, an independent company, was not included in the bankruptcy and was
subsequently acquired by FRANK GmbH.
